New Calif. Law Affects Foreclosures

Foreclosures are up over 100 percent from last year in Los Angeles County. State lawmakers are trying to slow this trend. California’s state government recently signed into a law a bill which helps homeowners and renters who are involved in a foreclosure. SB 1137 makes four changes to current state law affecting consumers. The changes are effective until Jan. 1, 2013. more

Now that Congress has set a February 17, 2009, date for the completion of the "DTV transition," what do we need to do? Viewers who currently get their signals “over the air,” using a rooftop antenna or rabbit ears, will have to make some changes. more

DCA investigation busts real estate scam

An investigation by DCA's Real Estate Fraud and Information Program against a predatory mortgage lending company has resulted in a $20 million civil lawsuit by the California Attorney General. San Bernardino County authorities have arrested several people involved with this alleged scam. more
